Eagle Pcb Software Tutorial
I have been working on figuring this software out for a few days now. I can't seem to figure out how to tell it that I want Vcc and Gnd for all of the chips in my circuit to go to a certain pin on a header. I have used the various Vcc and Gnd symbols in the Supply1 library, but still the PCB layout doesn't show a connection from the chips to where I want them to go. I am using chips from the ttl logic library and those chips don't have a pin for Vcc or Gnd in the schematic. In the PCB layout it will connect all of the Vcc and Gnd pins from all of the chips together but it won't connect it to the header pin I want it to.
There has to be a way to do this with out manually drawing in a trace. Can anyone here help? - Chris W Gift Giving Made Easy Get the gifts you want & give the gifts they want. I have been working on figuring this software out for a few days now.

Read documentation from the EAGLE and the community. Step by Step Tutorial for EAGLE. Simple example of how to get started with a EAGLE design.
Click to expand.Use the 'invoke' command to show the hidden pins. The invoke command is schematic, right above the T for text. Click it, click the part you want to show the power pins for, and you can make it visible. You should go through the tutorial. Film boyka 4 مترجم بالعربية. It'll save you time trying to figure this stuff out. The user interface for eagle is totally counterintuitive initially, but once you get used to it, it's not so bad.

EAGLE contains a schematic editor for designing circuit diagrams. Parts are defined in device libraries and can be placed on many sheets and connected together through ports. The PCB layout editor allows back-annotation to the schematic and includes auto-routing to automatically connect tracks (traces) based on the connections defined in the schematic. EAGLE outputs Gerber and PostScript layout files as well as Excellon and Sieb & Meyer drill files.
These are standard file formats accepted by PCB fabrication companies, many PCB fabricators and assembly shops also accept EAGLE board files directly to export optimised production files and pick-and-place data. EAGLE provides a multi-window graphical user interface and menu system for editing, project management and to customise the interface and design parameters. The system can be controlled by mouse, keyboard hotkeys or by entering specific commands at an embedded command line. Multiple repeating commands can be combined into script files to enhance productivity.

It is also possible to explore design files utilising an EAGLE-specific object-oriented programming language. A large group of textual and video tutorials exists for beginners to design their own PCBs. EAGLE part libraries are freely available which define schematic shapes, pinouts and part sizes to allow for correct layout in the PCB layout editor. Popular free libraries are available from element14 (a subsidiary of Premier Farnell Plc., former owners and developers of CadSoft Eagle software). Using EAGLE's programming language to convert board files into Specctra compatible design files it is possible to export designs for usage in conjunction with advanced external autorouters. For further editing the finished designs in session format can be imported back into EAGLE via script file converters.
