He was admitted in hospital since many days and was discharged on 26th July 2012, but due to low blood pressure & extreme weakness he was on kept on ventilator. He took his last breath at his residence “Aashirwad Bunglow” in presence of his wife Dimple Kapadia, son-in-law (Actor), both daughters Rinki Khanna and Twinkle Khanna, grandson Aarav and very close relatives. Rajesh Khanna was addicted to alcohol and in the month of June he was admitted two times in Lilawati Hospital. He was seventy years old. Amitabh Bachchan acted with him in small roles in some movies, later Amitabh Bachchan replaced him and became second superstar award of India. After acting in 180 movies, Rajesh Khann received Lifetime Achievement Award from Amitabh Bachchan in IIFA Award 2009.
